1. Core Architectural Guarantee: Local Processing

NOMIX operates as a static, local-first web application. Names generated by procedural algorithms, names input into the Name Combiner, and lists entered into the Random Picker or Wheel tools are computed entirely in your browser memory via JavaScript.

No personal inputs, names, or list entries are ever transmitted to our servers, logged in server databases, or exposed to external analytics systems.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

  • We do not offer user accounts or authentication.
  • We do not record, store, or profile custom names typed into combiners or pickers.
  • We do not harvest telephone numbers, government IDs, or payment details.

3. Local Storage Usage

We use browser localStorage strictly for necessary functional preferences:

  • nomix-theme: Stores your visual mode preference (light, dark, or system).
  • Optional saved favorites: If you choose to bookmark a generated name locally, it is stored in your device storage and never synced.

4. Third-Party Services & Advertising

NOMIX is monetized through advertising services such as Google AdSense. Advertising providers and our Consent Management Platform (CMP) may use cookies or browser tokens to deliver advertisements and evaluate traffic:

  • Consent Management: For visitors residing in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland, non-essential cookies and personalized ad technologies are blocked until affirmative consent is provided through our IAB TCF v2.2 certified CMP.
  • Cloudflare Hosting: Static pages are served via Cloudflare edge network, which processes standard technical server logs (IP address, user agent) to mitigate automated DDoS attacks.
  • Contact Submissions: Messages submitted via our contact form are routed through our form processing partner (Formspree) to deliver inquiries to our administration inbox.

5. Regional Visitor Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have statutory rights concerning personal data:

  • EEA & UK (GDPR): Right to access, rectify, or request erasure of personal data, and the right to withdraw cookie consent at any moment.
  • California (CPRA): We do not sell or share user inputs or personal identifiers for financial compensation.
  • India (DPDP Act 2023): You may contact our data controller regarding inquiries or right requests.
